Sometimes people dont realize how important it is to use manufactures recommended coolants.which leads to huge repair cost.I am convinced now that using the factory recommended parts.and fluids will prolong the life of your engine and save thousands in unesasary costs.

40 hrs week school and work
This last week was a slow week at Williams.I worked mostly on organizing and cleanup.I did some test on a 3.0 ford I learned to use a smoke machine to find leaks in the lower intake manifold and used the Motis to check oxygen sensors and replaced the up strram sensors whi h did show an improvement in fuel economy. The motis is agreat tool and students should take the opportunity to use it and learn.I have learned something new every time I use it.

Pictures of 6.0
Week ending February 8th: 40 hours between work and school.
Slow week at Williams, mostly concentrated on clean up. Installed oxygen sensor on Ford Ranger and cleaned the mass flow sensor at school. I also researched fuel trim and currently trying to get more information so I completely understand fuel trim charts. I have been working with the Motis learning about all its functions. Changed the spark plugs on a Suburban and checked its 02 sensor using the Motis. I learned the graph should go from lean to rich every second and a half. The computer can only tell the injector how much fuel to release but not how much oxygen can be introduced.
